The ideal ally to prepare the skin for the sun and naturally enhance the tan.

Rich in beta-carotene (provitamin A), it helps the skin to:

gradually prepare for sun exposure,
reveal a brighter and more even complexion,
prolong the radiance of the tan

The carrots used are unsold organic carrots, set aside only for their shape or color deemed “atypical”.

They are grown in the Ardennes by Pascal.
Mira collects them, cuts and dries them before making the maceration directly in their workshop.

Result: an oil mastered from A to Z, rich in antioxidants and fatty acids, known for its properties:

Q: Does carrot oil help you tan?

A: Thanks to the carotenoids it contains, carrot oil does help you tan by stimulating the skin's production of melanin, but unfortunately not on its own. It is often more accurate to speak of stimulating a tan rather than tanning in the strict sense. Carrot oil effectively prepares the skin by stimulating melanin production as soon as the skin is exposed to the sun, within safe limits, however, as carrot oil is not a sunscreen.

Q: When should carrot oil be applied to the face?

A: It is ideal to apply it every morning as a daytime treatment for a long-lasting healthy glow. Used in combination with moringa oil, it will work wonders for skin regeneration.

Q: What are the benefits of carrot oil for hair, and how can it be used?

A: On hair, it has very interesting softening properties for the hair fiber.

Q: Is this oil comedogenic?

A: Not at all. It is at the top of the scale when it comes to vegetable oils, with a rating of 0, and therefore will not cause breakouts on oily or acne-prone skin.

Q: What does it smell like?

A: It has a distinctive smell; you can recognize the scent of carrot, but it is difficult to describe—somewhat satiny, somewhat sweet, truly reminiscent of carrot, sometimes with hints of hay. It is quite vegetal, but not green at the same time. It will not remind you of the smell of hemp, for example, or camelina. The scent of this oil is quite pleasant and will still remain subtle.

Q: Is it suitable for all skin types?

A: Yes, absolutely. Its carrier oil is organic sunflower oil, so it is suitable for all skin types, including dry to very dry skin. It is not comedogenic and is therefore also suitable for oily skin.

Q: Does this oil have other benefits, and how should it be used?

A: While we often talk about the benefits related to complexion and tanning, we often forget about this oil's antioxidant and anti-aging properties. It can rival moringa oil or prickly pear oil in its ability to fight free radicals (unstable substances on the skin's surface that are responsible for accelerated skin aging).
